Los Angeles is on the leading edge of several growth industries. L.A. County with more than 87,000 jobs in the fashion industry, has surpassed New York’s fashion district workforce. The L.A. five-county area also has more than 700,000 people at work in health services biomedical activities and 190,000 people in technology. Did you know that when Los Angeles became a city the full name was “El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora Reina de los Angeles sobre el Rio Porciuncula.” Which means “The town of our lady queen of the angels on the Porciuncula River.”Facts about Los Angeles

Cheetah

My favorite animal is a cheetah did you know that the cheetah is the fastest land animal it can go up to 70 MPH that’s as fast as a car. The cheetah can reach its top speed in 3 seconds! The cheetah has “tear marks”that run from the inside corners of their eyes down to the outside edges of their mouth. These marks help reflect the glare of the sun while they are hunting their food. The marks are like the black marks on football players under their eye. They have black spot son their body they actually have black skin where those black spots are. The cheetah is the most endangered cat their is less than 8,000 left in the wild! The cheetahs have claws that are like football cleats so when they are running fast they don’t slip those claws stick to the ground.  Link to cheetahs
